YOUTH MUSIC THEATER PROGRAM

Our program is like NO OTHER in the area
How is The Springer Studio Youth Theater different from the other theaters in our area?
  1. We only serve youth from ages 6-18 years of age.  Organized by age, our programs give each student the opportunity to learn with their peers.*  We encourage CONFIDENCE in ALL performers, not just the "leads".
  2. We choose productions based on teaching youth- shows with positive messages and BIG casts that offer many roles for all ranges of experience.  Our shows are family friendly.  You will not see shows with excessive profanity, inappropriate sexual themes,  or 'push the envelope' issues on our stage. Ever.   (and we will let you know if a show is not appropriate for younger audiences- sometimes the high school shows can dip a little toe in that pool...)
  3. Mrs. Springer is the Director/Music Director of ALL of our shows.   This ensures a sense of CONTINUITY within our programs.  Your child is taught by the same person from program to program, so you and your child always know what to expect.  You will also know that the techniques that your child learns in class or in their voice lesson will be carried over on to the stage.
  4. Your child will be taught by a degreed professional musician with over 20 years of teaching and directing experience.  They will learn CORRECT vocal technique, basic music theory and musicianship.
  5. Students are invited to be involved in all aspects of the production, from set design and building to costuming and prop development.  This creates a feeling of ownership in the final product and pride in the EXCELLENCE that they have created.
  6. Our older students work as leaders for our younger programs, creating a true family atmosphere.  Only those who have participated in a past show with us are invited to apply for our PAID camp counselor and/or staff positions.
  7. We recognize that although we are located in an affluent area of Chester County, not every family can afford Chester County typical prices- especially now!  Our LOW price is not a reflection of the HIGH quality program that we offer.  We believe in working hard for our students because they deserve it, not for our financial gain.  We are BY FAR the most affordable Youth Theater program in our area.
  8. No student is turned away due to financial hardship thanks to our healthy scholarship program. Full and partial scholarships are available for all programs, as well as deposit options and sibling discount. PLEASE do not hesitate to ask for a scholarship if you are in need!
*We have combined some age groups during COVID19 in order to still be able to offer programming- but we will be back to smaller age groups ASAP!
Most importantly, The Springer Studio Youth Theater believes that the student's experience is PARAMOUNT.  Nothing is more important that our kids- not the staff, not the director, not the bottom line at the box office.
We are only successful when EVERY student feels encouraged, able to tackle anything and proud of the excellent production they created.

We Would Love to Have You join Us!
