PAYMENTS, REFUNDS and ATTENDANCE POLICIES

We understand that registering your child for one of our programs is a significant expense for most families. We also know that you have a choice when choosing a theater training program for your child and we APPRECIATE that you have chosen TSSYT.

Payment Options:

FALL SESSION 2026:

KIDS session is $425 online (incudes a 3% fee) or $400 if you’d like to pay cash or check (made payable to The Springer Studio Youth Theater). Balances are DUE by August 1, 2026.

JUNIOR and HIGH SCHOOL FALL SESSIONS are $725 online (includes a 3% fee) or $700 if you’d like to pay cash or check (made payable to The Springer Studio). HIGH SCHOOL balances are due by AUGUST 19, 2026 and JUNIOR balances are due by SEPTEMBER 4, 2026.

Everyone is required to pay the $100 deposit online to secure their child’s registration and hold their spot in the program. Without a deposit, your child is not registered for the program and you will not receive any email communications. The balance can then be paid as you prefer, either online or cash/check.

If you choose the cash/check option, there is a locked deposit box inside the front doors of the theater that is accessible 24 hours a day!

We also offer a Scholarship Program (see the link in the webpage header) for those who are in need of financial assistance. There is an application process and not everyone who applies will be granted a scholarship. Moving forward, we may be requesting documentation of income to accompany any scholarship application due to multiple falsified applications. Please understand that we can only offer ONE full scholarship and ONE half scholarship to each family.

REFUND POLICY:

If your plans change and your child can no longer participate in our program, you can receive a full refund if you withdrawal your child MORE than 2 weeks prior to auditions. Any withdrawal after that date will receive NO REFUND.‍ ‍

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Attendance at every rehearsal and all performances is crucial to your child’s learning and to the success of the production. It matters that they are HERE for every rehearsal as it affects the entire cast when a member of the team is missing.‍ ‍

  • Any cast member who does not attend a scheduled rehearsal without prior notice from a parent will be immediately removed from the cast. This means that if your child does not show for a scheduled rehearsal and we have not received any communication from a PARENT, they will not be welcome back to the program. All we are asking for is an email (to: mjspringer@thespringerstudio.com) PRIOR to the beginning of rehearsal. This applies to situations when your child is SICK as well. All absences must be communicated to us before rehearsal starts.

  • Doctor’s appointments are NOT excused absences. We kindly ask that you try to reschedule that appointment to a time when your child is not expected at rehearsal.

  • Any cast member who misses more than 3 rehearsals for ANY REASON will be removed from the cast. Medical issues or extended illnesses are understandable, as long as we can prepare the student for the production adequately. If there is a medical issue or extended illness, a doctor’s note is REQUIRED after 3 missed rehearsals.

  • Standing conflicts on rehearsal days and conflicts on performance days are unacceptable. If your child can not attend all of the scheduled rehearsals and performances, we can not accept them into the program. We will look forward to seeing them for a future show when their schedule allows for their full participation!
